Born in New Zealand, Kathy Sorenson, Owner and Manager of 1on1 Interview Coaching
entered the recruitment industry with the aim of assisting people, learning quickly how tough the business of finding a job can be for people. From her 18 years of experience in the field, Kathy knows that if an interviewee cannot find the right way to connect with their interviewer, no matter what their skill level, sometimes they can simply be overlooked. It is Kathy’s mission help people get the best they can out of their opportunities and empowering them to succeed.
Gaining experience and leadership qualities quickly Kathy has spent the last 18 years working in, sales and recruitment in Dubai, New Zealand, Canada, and Qatar for both large multi-national companies and small boutique offices which has provided her with a rounded view of how organisations and managers who hire in these particular territories, tend to operate.
Successful in her career, Kathy has returned to her original dream of helping others. After interviewing thousands of candidates, she understands the potential results of this daunting process, and the impact that the interview can have on a person’s future and confidence, regardless of their experience levels.
Kathy has no magic wand, just a simple belief in her clients setting off for interview better equipped than the other interviewees! By combining her experience and knowledge and secrets of the trade, she has developed the 1on1 coaching, a method which quickly gets to the heart of her clients’ needs, equipping them with what they need to achieve career and interview success, allowing them to get on with what is really important in life, having fun!
